BELGRAD – SIBIU

After breakfast leave the city by car and go to Romania. On the way stop for visit at Alba Iulia Citadel. The modern city is located near the site of the important Dacian political, economic and social centre named Apulon (believed by many archaeologists to be the Dacian fortifications on top of Piatra Craivii). In the roman period the city was known as Apullum. In 1918, tens of thousands of Romanians gathered in Alba Iulia on December 1, now commemorated as the National Day of Romania, to hear the proclamation of the union of Transylvania with the Kindom of Romania. Visit the old citadel, The Reunion Cathedral, The Reunion Hall and Museum, The Catholic Cathedral (who host the grave of Iancu de Hunedoara – the famous ruler of Transylvania.

We’ll arrive at Sibiu. Accomodation in Sibiu at Ramada Hotel**** or similar.



Day 8. SIBIU- MEDIAS- SIGHISOARA (UNESCO)

Breakfast. Visit the center of Sibiu. Main highlights: Little Square and Grand Square, Evanghelical Cathedral, Lier’s Bridge, Bruckental Museum, defensive towers and fortifications, a.s.o.
Than start to explore a region with beautiful saxon citadels and fotresses.
We’ll stop at Medias, old medieval town dating from XV century. The Margareth Cathedral is a monument included in UNESCO Heritages List and its famous Trompets Tower is one of the most slided buildings from the world.
We will end the day in Sighisoara (UNESCO), also caled “The Pearl of Transylvania” a wonderful medieval city where you can stil enjoy the medieval atmosphere. Tuscany at a Glance: Siena with Children.
Overnight at Sighisoara Hotel*** located in the center of the town, or similar – High Standard Version(HSV). Overnight at Casa Saseasca Pension *** or similar – Medium Standard Version (MSV)


SIGHISOARA – CLUJ – BAIA MARE – CAVNIC

Breakfast. After breakfast we’ll have a walking tour of the Sighisoara citadel. Visits at Clock Tower and History Museum, Born House of Vlad the Impaler, Covered Stairs, Church on the Hill, a.s.o.
Than we’ll leave Sighisoara on the route to the northern regions.
We’ll pass the cities of Cluj and Baia Mare having short panoramic tours. Three Historic Places in Europe Not Overrun by Tourists. We’ll stay overnight in Cavinc at Secret Garden Hotel*** – HSV or in a 3 stars pension – MSV.

At Ieud we can visit the oldest wodden church made in to the 14-een century (UNESCO). Don’t miss the The Maramures’s Woman Museum, where you can learn about maramuresean traditions and way of live.
Stop the day at Viseu. Accomodation Gabriela Hotel*** or similar.
